Darius McCrary, Former Family Matters Star, Booked And Charged At Mexican Border

Darius McCrary gained recognition through his role in the iconic sitcom Family Matters, where he portrayed Eddie Winslow. However, his journey since those lighthearted days has been fraught with controversy. The actor faces significant issues stemming from unpaid child support obligations to his ex-wife, Tammy Brawner, a former Harlem Globetrotter, and allegations of abuse, alongside court-mandated rehabilitation classes and restraining orders.Recently, McCrary was arrested near the California border with Mexico, reportedly due to an outstanding felony warrant linked to missed court hearings over child support. According to his representative, Ann Barlow, he was engaged in humanitarian efforts to aid the homeless in Tijuana when he discovered the warrant, which arose from a notice sent to a PO Box during his COVID-19 illness.Formerly, Brawner sought divorce in 2017, and by 2019, she secured full custody of their daughter, alongside a support order that McCrary allegedly defaulted on.
