The 35-year-old forward, whose professional career ended in 2024, faces serious allegations of felony fraud linked to unpaid gambling debts exceeding $250,000 at two renowned Las Vegas casinos. After spending two days detained, Morris was released.In an Instagram post, Morris reflected on his ordeal, expressing disbelief at his arrest despite having the intention to settle the debts. He shared that his financial entanglement involved bounced checks, specifically one for $115,000 at MGM Grand and another for $150,000 at Wynn Las Vegas. Morris criticized his treatment as excessive and emphasized the importance of financial accountability for young athletes, regardless of status.
