Former Uganda Cranes football player Brian Umony has shared the story behind his early retirement, revealing how a severe injury cut short his promising career.
Umony, who once played at the peak of his career for St. George Football Club in the Ethiopian Premier League, disclosed that the injury, which worsened into a serious knee issue, ultimately forced him to retire from professional football.
Reflecting on his time in football, Umony explained that the injury occurred when he was performing at his best, making the decision to retire all the more difficult.
Despite efforts to rehabilitate, his knee injury continued to worsen, leading him to retire earlier than expected.
