Howard “Frankie” Beverly, the frontman for the legendary group, Maze with Frankie Beverly, has passed away at the age of 77 according to statement released by his family. A cause of death was not released.Beverly went on a farewell tour earlier this year where he received his flowers by many people within music and entertainment.“Before I Let Go”, made its musical debut on the legendary R&B group, Frankie Beverly and Maze’s “Live In New Orleans” album in 1981, it has been a thread in the cultural fabric of the Black community and the iconic ESSENCE Festival of Culture.“All white linen at Essence Fest is a thing,” exclaimed GRAMMY-award winning songwriter Johnta Austin on social media. “And it’s a thing because of the great Howard “Frankie” Beverly!
