From Hoover High to UAB: Cameron Rodgers-Johnson’s Journey as a Drum Major and Aspiring Music Virtuoso

Cameron Rodgers-Johnson maximized every opportunity during his time at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. The talented 23-year-old composer, who earned a Bachelor of Arts in music with honors, thrived in various ensembles and leadership roles. Soon, he will pursue a graduate degree in music composition. Embracing challenges, he continuously met adversity with perseverance. Under the mentorship of dedicated faculty, he honed his skills, earning multiple awards and composing commissioned works.
