A Miami woman has been arrested following an altercation where she reportedly shot another woman seeking her boyfriend within the home. The incident transpired on September 20 outside a residence in Miami Gardens.
The victim informed authorities she arrived at 25-year-old Jahniya Meda’s place, fully aware her boyfriend was present. According to a police affidavit referenced by WPLG, she knocked and requested her boyfriend to step outside. Subsequently, as she moved toward a side gate, Meda emerged, discharging two shots and exclaiming, “Get from my house!”
The confrontation was captured on a Ring camera. Following the gunfire, the victim’s boyfriend swiftly exited the residence in a Mercedes-Benz. Upon interrogation, he stated he refrained from answering the door since it wasn’t his home. Meda claimed she acted after the victim threatened her.
The victim suffered gunshot injuries to her lower body and was hospitalized. Meda faces attempted murder charges and remains in custody without bond.
