Clio Phillip and Ericka Gaspard triumphed as unbeaten victors at the Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association’s Under-21 Beach Championships, showcasing their skill and synergy. The Saint Lucian pair ruled the tournament, achieving an impressive five-match win streak without conceding a set. Their gold medal was clinched with a decisive 2-0 (21-11, 23-21) victory over the Antiguan duo, Jassania Joseph and Jaya Carr, in a gripping final.Competing on the sandy shores of St Kitts & Nevis, the champions demonstrated remarkable resilience, particularly during a nail-biting second set where they were behind at 19-20. Phillip expressed, "We feel great, excited, and happy. This is what we aimed for—winning gold!” Gaspard added, “Confidence played a key role in pushing through the final points.” In the battle for bronze, Dominica’s Alyssa Bully and Joyan Pascal edged Anguilla's Deandra Fleming and Lavesha Richardson in a thrilling three-set clash. The top three teams will advance to the NORCECA World Championships Qualifier Tournament.
