The 23rd annual Reaching Out For Kids tournament, generously supported by The Robert J. Stenger Family Inc. as a double eagle sponsor, captivated over 70 golfers at Avon Fields Golf Course. A robust team of volunteers, including 13-year-old Eli Buchan from the Avondale Education Project, ensured seamless operations, assisting retired educator Dolores Crowley with her golf gear. Former Cincinnati Bengals players, such as Louis Breeden, Barney Bussey, and Ira Hillary, were present, alongside ex-New York Jets player Curt Springs and former police chief Ron Twitty. Hall of Famer Vivian Lott, a standout 13-year-old from Fayetteville, Georgia, graced the event with her father, Richard Lott, showcasing her talent with numerous accolades. Prior to tee time, Ron Dumas honored past golfers, with the "Award of Gratitude" accepted by Yvonne Wright, Patrick Burns, and Kamron Johnson on behalf of Howard Jerry Brower. The “Difference Maker” award honored Robert Stenger, who was unable to attend.
