Lori Williams, who aspired to be a firefighter since childhood, celebrated her passion in an interview with the New Pittsburgh Courier on April 21. Recently, an alleged arsonist, Cody A. Balmer, attempted to ignite the Governor's mansion while Gov. Josh Shapiro and family were inside. Fortunately, they were unharmed. On April 21, Gov. Shapiro visited the Mt. Lebanon Fire Department and pledged $30 million in grants to bolster state firefighters. Williams, a dedicated volunteer, appreciated Shapiro's support and emphasized the challenges faced by women in her field.
