In 2025, America has tragically experienced 357 mass shootings, exceeding one incident per day. Just within the past fortnight, a mass shooting occurred at a Minneapolis Catholic school, resulting in the tragic loss of two young lives and injuring 21 individuals, alongside the violent murder of an influencer. These events have rapidly circulated on social media, platforms notorious for failing to mitigate hate speech and inciting violence. Calls for retaliation against perceived adversaries have surged, garnering millions of views. Instead of fostering unity, political figures have propagated divisive narratives—racist, xenophobic, misogynistic, and homophobic ideologies—leading to threats of violence and necessitating the closure of historically Black colleges for safety. With the Minneapolis shooting, attention shifted dangerously to the shooter's identity, sparking calls to infringe on Second Amendment rights for certain groups, thereby risking federal discrimination.
