Police Documentation Shows A Man Believed A Cockroach Spoke To Him About Killing Two People

A 25-year-old man from New Mexico, Alexis Hernandez, was detained for the alleged murders of two individuals, claiming that a cockroach instructed him to commit the acts. The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies responded to a residence in Albuquerque on November 7, where they discovered the deceased men.Upon their arrival, officers encountered Hernandez, who was armed and had a Marine Corps Sabre. He stated to deputies that he felt compelled to act, admitting he knew the victims, one of whom owned the home. He expressed concerns about being stalked and claimed to hear disturbing voices from the vents. Hernandez asserted that he received "signs" to eliminate the homeowner, including an "encrypted message" delivered via a cockroach.Prior to the incident, he had acquired a Glock, which he described as for personal protection. He recounted that he felt endangered when the victims confronted him and subsequently shot them, later returning to ensure their deaths, stating he remained at the scene to avoid alarming the children present.
