Hampton Jazz & Music Festival Celebrates 55 Years with Star-Studded Lineup and a Rich Legacy at Hampton University

A new era unfolds this summer as the Hampton Jazz & Music Festival 2025 returns, brimming with fresh aesthetics and invigorating spirit. Co-sponsored by the City of Hampton, Hampton University, and The Black Promoters Collective, the festival will take place at the Hampton Coliseum from June 27 to 29. Originating in 1970 via a partnership between the City of Hampton and Hampton University, this cherished event—previously known as the Hampton Jazz Festival—is now embracing transformative rebranding while celebrating its storied heritage. Headliners include Patti LaBelle, PJ Morton, and Gladys Knight.
