Hampton University Pharmacy Joins Forces with Ugandan University for Innovative Collaboration

The Hampton University School of Pharmacy, a historically Black institution in Virginia, has forged a collaborative partnership with Makerere University School of Pharmacy in Uganda. Spearheaded by Dr. Elizabeth Heard, this alliance includes dynamic learning sessions, such as a recent virtual workshop. Future endeavors involve mutual curriculum development and clinical training programs. Dr. Heard aims to establish a five-week international clinical rotation for Hampton students in Uganda. Both institutions are also planning a virtual research conference, highlighting the necessity of shared knowledge in confronting pressing health issues.
