A grand jury has decided against filing charges in a fatal shooting case in Burke County. District Attorney Jared Williams shared with News 12 on Friday that Hannah G. Cobb, apprehended on February 25 for felony involuntary manslaughter connected to the death of her boyfriend, Telvin Osborne, received a “no bill” verdict from the grand jury. The case was presented for consideration on April 24; however, the grand jury chose not to advance with formal accusations. While Williams respects the grand jury’s determination, he noted that future prosecution remains a possibility. “The case is closed as the Grand Jury has spoken," he commented. The Burke County Sheriff’s Office has voiced concerns about potential unrest and has urged the community to remain calm.
