Happy 80th birthday to Tim Stevens, longtime Chairman and CEO of the Black Political Empowerment Project (B-PEP)! On May 3, 2025, community leaders, family, and friends gathered at Emerald City in Downtown Pittsburgh to celebrate Stevens’ powerful legacy and milestone birthday. The evening was filled with joy, music, heartfelt speeches—and plenty of proclamations recognizing his tireless work for civil rights, political empowerment, and racial justice. Distinguished guests included Mayor Ed Gainey, Councilwoman Theresa Kail-Smith, and many others. Tim Stevens was also joined by his son Marcus Stevens, Indigo Goode, members of Talk Magazine, and the Carter family. The celebration honored a life devoted to uplifting Pittsburgh’s Black community and inspired a new generation of leaders to continue his legacy.
