Patrick Mahomes has faced considerable criticism recently from NFL analysts regarding his status among the league's elite quarterbacks. Remarkably, Mahomes was universally regarded as the top quarterback entering last season, fresh off consecutive Super Bowl victories. However, with a 15-2 season and a Super Bowl loss to the Eagles, his performance was scrutinized as fans and media expressed disappointment over his less-than-stellar statistics compared to prior seasons when he shattered records under Eric Bieniemy. Despite being a model of integrity with three Super Bowl rings from five appearances, Mahomes has not attracted the same attention as some of his peers, like Travis Kelce. Recently, Phoenix radio host Kevin Kietzman labeled Mahomes “fat” and an “embarrassment” after a shirtless photo surfaced online. In response, Fox Sports hosts Steve Covino and Rich Davis defended him, asserting that Mahomes is certainly not overweight and questioned societal standards for excellence in sports.
