He was 53 years young. Born Isaac Freeman III, the hype man and radio personality was performing at a summer concert, Friday, hosted at Hamden Town Center Park in Connecticut. Hamden is six miles from New Haven. Mayor Lauren Garrett shared on Facebook that the rapper had a “medical emergency on stage” and was transported to the hospital by ambulance. What Happened at the Concert Before He Collapsed? A video from the concert showed Scoop hyping up the crowd at Hamden’s Green and Gold Party just moments before the collapse. After he collapsed, another performer could be seen leading the crowd in prayer as a group of people huddled around the rear of the stage.
