Roseanne Barr is expressing her frustration regarding Jimmy Kimmel's comeback to late-night television. Kimmel faced an indefinite suspension on September 17 due to backlash from conservatives following his controversial remarks that likened Charlie Kirk’s killer to MAGA, while he crafted a joke about President Donald Trump's reaction to a journalist's question.Following “thoughtful discussions” with Kimmel, ABC reversed its decision, but media entities Sinclair and NextStar opted to delay “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on their channels upon its revival on September 23. Barr contends that her 2018 punishment for the “Planet of the Apes” debacle was unjust. In a recent 17-minute monologue, Kimmel thanked Disney for allowing his show to resume and criticized Trump, saying, “Our leader celebrates Americans losing their livelihoods because he can’t take a joke.” Barr sees hypocrisy in Kimmel's swift reinstatement compared to her own banishment from television.
