IBLC named recipient of 2024 Fairness, Justice and Equality Award 

The Indiana Black Legislative Caucus (IBLC) has been selected as a recipient of the 2024 Marion County Bar Association’s Fairness, Justice and Equality Award recognizing those who have demonstrated themselves to be champions of justice and equality.& The award will be presented during the Kuykendall-Conn Gala and Awards Ceremony on Oct.19.& & “The IBLC works tirelessly to develop policies and pass laws to establish equal justice for all Hoosiers,” said State Rep. Earl Harris Jr., D-East Chicago, chair of the IBLC. “It is an honor to receive this recognition from the MCBA affirming our vital work.”& Harris maintained that, while they are proud to be a recipient of the award, there is still more work to be done.& Indiana’s 13-member Black Legislative Caucus will hold a six-part town hall series in municipalities across the state, the group announced Tuesday.
