The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Incorporated (NCBW), Metropolitan Nashville Chapter is thrilled to announce the election of Dr. Patricia Malone Smith as the new President, effective October 1, 2025. Dr. Smith takes over from Janet Rachel, who has led the chapter with outstanding vision and dedication since 2021. Under Janet’s stewardship, the chapter garnered three Model Chapter awards, enhanced partnerships, and intensified advocacy initiatives for Black women and girls throughout Middle Tennessee. “I am proud of our collective achievements and thankful for the steadfast support from our members and community,” stated Janet Rachel, Immediate Past President. Dr. Smith, a committed member since 2016, is set to advance educational, health equity, and civic engagement initiatives. “Continuing this legacy is a privilege,” said Dr. Smith. The Metropolitan Nashville Chapter will remain focused on promoting leadership development and gender equity.
