ILBCF to Host Scholarship Reception And Honor Late Commissioner Dennis Deer

The Illinois Legislative Black Caucus Foundation (ILBCF), under the dynamic leadership of ILBCF Joint Chairwoman Illinois State Representative Carol Ammons, Executive Director Tiffany D. Hightower and the full Illinois Legislative Black Caucus, will host its Annual Scholarship Reception at the spacious UIC Forum. A press conference will be held on Thursday, July 11, at 4:30 p.m. at the UIC Forum at 1213 S. Halsted, Chicago, Illinois. & Hundreds of students throughout the state of Illinois will receive college scholarships, which they have earned through their respective academic achievements and noteworthy citizenship endeavors. & However, the evening will also include acknowledgments and special tributes to the life of the late Cook County Commissioner Dennis Deer, who recently passed away, leaving a void on the Cook County Board of Commissioners.
