Meet an Author, Be an Author, the annual community book fair hosted by the Indianapolis Public Library (IndyPL) returns with activities for all ages this fall.
The book fair takes place from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 19 at Central Library and will feature more than 40 local authors across multiple genres and backgrounds showcasing and discussing their work. Guests of all ages are welcome to engage in free workshops, enjoy activities and make connections within Indianapolis’ growing literary scene.

“The Author Fair is a wonderful opportunity for readers to connect and refresh their personal libraries!” Jill Edwards, adult program specialist for IndyPL, said in a statement. “It’s not every day that you walk into a library and meet 45 authors face-to-face, and we hope their presence will inspire literature lovers.”
Throughout the book fair, readers and aspiring writers alike with have the opportunity to connect with established authors, make their own bookmarks, participate in workshops led by literary experts and engage with on-site literature organizations such as Indiana Writers Center, Speed City Sisters In Crime, Storytelling Arts of Indiana, Midwest Writers Workshop,...
