Intruders Caught On Camera In Castries

In the wee hours of Saturday morning, CCTV cameras recorded two men entering a yard in Carielle, Castries, but they did not appear to have left with anything of value.
A third individual waited on the road, apparently as a lookout.
“There is no gate, so they just came in, but we haven’t noticed anything missing,” one resident told St. Lucia Times.
“They went to the verandah of a tenant downstairs,” the resident, who requested not to be identified, disclosed.
The Carielle resident said the tenant’s CCTV camera captured one of the intruders, who seemed unaware he was being recorded and at one point, looked directly into the lens.
“We have a clear picture. He was in the verandah. I don’t know what he was looking for,” the woman stated.
She told St. Lucia Times it was not the first such occurrence at the building, which houses three apartments, and suggested that it may have involved different individuals on each occasion.
Previously, on separate occasions, intruders stole a motion sensor outdoor light and broke into a vehicle.
The homeowner suggested that they may have expected to find cash in the vehicle, but there was none.
