A Texas family is gearing up for a legal confrontation against a property developer who obtained permits to demolish their ancestral home, only to erect a duplex on land they don’t legitimately possess. In March 2024, Robert Alexander returned to his childhood residence at 118 Kimble Lane in Austin, only to find it completely razed. “All our family heirlooms were left inside — now destroyed,” he lamented. This home belonged to their matriarch, Julia Alexander, who passed away in 1979, with Robert’s brother, Charles, residing there until last year due to property tax issues. After Charles vacated, developers cleared the site and constructed a new duplex, despite public records still listing Julia and Charles as the owners. The Alexanders are now preparing a lawsuit against Precise Custom Homes for the wrongful seizure of their property. “We’re ready for a fight,” affirmed Kelly Alexander.
