Ryan Reynolds, known for his role in “Deadpool,” faced backlash for his interaction with a young reporter during the Toronto International Film Festival on September 5. The actor was promoting his documentary, “John Candy: I Like Me,” which pays tribute to the late comedian John Candy. Reynolds, aged 48, came under fire for being perceived as “condescending” and “rude” to the child reporter, named Liam from CTV. During a social media-circulated video, Reynolds quickly dismissed Liam’s greeting, urging him to “let’s skip to the question,” much to the audience's discomfort. Comments on social media, including from the account @TVMovieAddict, highlighted the inappropriateness of Reynolds’ remarks. While some fans defended him, others criticized his tone and approach, equating it to a troubling pattern of behavior. Despite the awkward start, Reynolds did engage with Liam, humorously addressing a question about Chipotle mayo in his breakfast. The documentary premieres on Amazon Prime Video on October 10.
