Jack Harlow is ending 2024 by setting the record straight: “I ain’t lookin’ for no hip-hop credibility.” On Monday, the Kentucky rapper dropped a new single, “Tranquility,” an introspective track about his place in rap culture and why he thinks the best is yet to come.
“My prime’s in full swing like a Callaway/I need a dime every dollar New Balance makes,” he raps. “Ain’t ’bout to let the world takŠµ my smile away.” (He later admits, “The hate got to me, but I had to act straight, like I’m tryna seem hetero.”)
