Rumors regarding Jake Retzlaff's status at Tulane may soon find clarity, as reports suggest he has committed to the institution. According to Pete Thamel, Senior Writer for College Football, Tulane has dedicated over a week to examining the circumstances surrounding Retzlaff's exit from BYU. Months prior, he was implicated in a civil lawsuit related to sexual assault, but that case was dismissed in late June. Despite this, he faced a seven-game suspension for an alleged consensual relationship, which was deemed a violation of the BYU Honor Code.Deciding to part ways with BYU, Retzlaff has verbally agreed to join Jon Sumrall's coaching staff as a walk-on. Last season, he amassed 2,947 passing yards, recording 20 touchdowns and 12 interceptions, while also adding six rushing touchdowns. At Tulane, he will become the fourth transfer quarterback, joining Donovan Leary, Kaden Semonza, and Brendan Sullivan on the roster.
