In response to recent allegations made against him, renowned rapper and entrepreneur Jay-Z, whose full name is Shawn Carter, has vehemently denied any involvement in a purported rape incident. The accusations, which were initially filed in October and refiled just recently by an anonymous accuser, accuse Jay-Z of “raping” a 13-year-old girl at an MTV VMAs after-party in 2000, with his associate Diddy, also known as Sean Combs.
In an official statement released through his Roc Nation banner, Jay-Z unequivocally refuted the allegations and raised counterclaims against the accuser’s lawyer, Tony Buzzbee, accusing him of engaging in blackmail. Jay-Z asserts that this attempt at blackmail was intended to exploit the nature of the allegations and the accompanying public scrutiny, with the expectation that he would opt for a settlement.
“These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree? These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case.”
