Last night, the Phoenix Suns were defeated by the Indiana Pacers at home. The Pacers outscored the Suns in the third quarter and gained a significant lead to win the game 120-111, but it was still close at the half. Kevin Durant explained what went wrong on his end and accepted full responsibility for the defeat during the post-game press conference.
Compared to their opponents, the club committed nearly twice as many turnovers. This ultimately proved to be the cause of the defeat. When questioned about his team’s turnover issue, KD stated that allowing 29 points to be scored off of turnovers would inevitably result in a defeat.

Even though a number of the team’s players committed many turnovers, Durant accepted responsibility: “29 points off our turnovers, that’s a game. I can’t lead the team in turnovers.”
“It all starts with me.”
