Killer Mike presented with proclamation and honors inside Georgia House

Michael Render, aka Killer Mike, received a proclamation from Georgia State Representative Imani Barnes for winning three GRAMMYs related to his album ‘Scientists & Engineers.’ Killer Mike, and his wife Shay, were inside the Georgia House chambers when the proclamation was read. After receiving his proclamation, he reminisced about his family’s history in the Peach State. He immediately thought about his grandparents as they began building their legacies. “My grandmother came in 1950,” explains Killer Mike. “My grandfather came here in 1940. My grandfather was from Georgia, my grandmother being from Alabama. I know I’m making them proud.
