According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Sacramento Kings star Domantas Sabonis has sustained a partial tear to his left meniscus. He will undergo a re-evaluation in three to four weeks, and notably, surgery is not necessary at this point to address the issue. In his 11 appearances this season, Sabonis has recorded impressive averages of 17.2 points and 12.3 rebounds, performing at a 51.0% shooting rate from the field. Recently, he missed the Kings' defeat against the Thunder due to left knee discomfort, resulting in further examinations that confirmed the meniscus injury. Additionally, Sabonis has previously missed three matches this season due to a hamstring strain and rib injury, making this knee issue the latest in a series of challenges for the 29-year-old. As the Kings struggle with a 3-12 record, Sabonis’ absence exacerbates their woes, particularly as they have suffered seven consecutive losses.
