Kohl’s Corporation (NYSE: KSS) has confirmed the appointment of Michael J. Bender as Chief Executive Officer, effective November 23, 2025. Bender, who has served as Interim CEO since May 1, 2025, will also remain on the Company’s Board. Board Chair John Schlifske remarked on Bender’s effective leadership, highlighting his ability to enhance results and advance both short-term and long-term strategies while fostering cultural improvements. With over three decades of experience in retail and consumer goods, Schlifske expressed confidence in Bender’s vision for the Company’s future. Bender expressed his honor at assuming the CEO role, emphasizing his commitment to prioritizing customers and transforming the company’s position in retail. Prior to his tenure at Kohl’s, Bender held leadership roles at Eyemart Express and Walmart Inc., complemented by executive positions at Cardinal Health and Victoria's Secret. Additionally, he has been a Director at Acuity Brands and served on the Kohl's Board since 2019. Kohl’s will unveil its third-quarter earnings results on November 25, 2025.
