Landsman secures $15m for Southwest Ohio

Congressman Greg Landsman has announced $15 million in federal funding has been made available for various projects in Southwest Ohio.
The projects include:
– Upgrades for Beechwood Affordable Housing – $1,050,000. We worked with the Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority to bring home over $1 million for modernizing and renovating the Beechwood affordable housing building in Avondale. This major renovation effort is slated for completion by 2026. The funds will be used for crucial repairs like replacing boilers, elevator mechanics, HVAC equipment, roofing systems, appliances, plumbing and electrical systems, adding laundry facilities, installing smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and providing new energy-efficient appliances. Affordable housing supports communities, and Beechwood residents deserve safety, security, and comfort for their families.
– Making your commute smoother – $1,000,000 for SORTA Bus Stops. If you’re one of the thousands who rely on public transit every day, you know how important it is to have safe, accessible bus stops while you’re waiting. We were proud that $1 million was awarded to SORTA for bus stop improvements like leveling uneven pavements for wheelchairs and strollers, installing shelter, seating, lighting, and digital signs showing arrival times.
