University of Michigan's LEAD Program Concludes, Putting Diversity Scholarships at Risk

Twelve years ago, Michigan's Black and Brown high school seniors celebrated their acceptance to the University of Michigan, buoyed by the LEAD Scholars program. Recently discontinued, this initiative symbolized hope amid political pressures against equity. As silence falls, the community must now rise to ensure students still find their place.
