From August 3, 2020, onward, the Sheriff Sale of real estate will proceed exclusively in a virtual format via video conferencing or live stream. All bidders or participants are required to register at least 7 days prior to the sale date to engage in activities at the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office. Registration is facilitated through the Sheriff’s official website, sheriffalleghenycounty.com. The winning bidder must provide the complete bid amount in cash, certified check, or cashier’s check at the sale; failure to comply results in resale at the subsequent Sheriff Sale. For the sale on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, a 10% deposit is acceptable the next day, with remaining balance due by September 8, 2025. Ignoring payment necessitates resale, and earlier payments apply toward any deficiency. In cases where the bidder is the plaintiff, full payment is due by the first Monday of the subsequent month. Redistributions will follow procedural rules. Forfeited sales will be publicly posted as stipulated.
