Lenovo Gifts More Than Eight Hundred Laptops to Fayetteville State University Freshman

Lenovo, a multinational technology company, has gifted more than 800 laptops to Fayetteville State University’s incoming freshman class. The company has pledged to provide the same gift to the HBCU’s next three freshman classes, totaling approximately 3,200 free laptops to FSU students over four years. “I am delighted and I truly cannot adequately express the deep appreciation I have for the leadership at Lenovo,” said Fayetteville State University Chancellor Darrell T. Allison. “Their committed partnership with FSU in providing all incoming freshmen class with brand new laptops over the next 4 years – 800 annually – is a real game changer. I am both excited and most humbled with this partnership providing our students the tools necessary for success in today’s digital environment.” The announcement regarding Lenovo’s pledge was made during FSU’s annual freshman pinning ceremony on August 18.
