Lizzie Knox Anthony celebrates 90th birthday

Mrs. Lizzie Knox Anthony of Lewisville celebrated her 90th birthday on Saturday, Nov. 2, at the Village Inn and Conference Center in Clemmons. The celebration was hosted by her children, Melvin (Beverly), Milton (Pam) and Marvin (Rosa). She celebrated her special day with a number of family members and friends.  “Mrs. Lizzie” as she is affectionately known, was married to the late William T. Anthony. They had six sons, William Turner (deceased), Michael (deceased), Melvin, Milton, Marshall (deceased) and Marvin. She has nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Lizzie is a 1954 graduate of Carver High School. She is retired from AT&T and The Industries for the Blind. She is an avid homemaker, with baking cakes one of her specialties.  She is a faithful member of New Hope AME Zion Church in Lewisville and for over 60 years she has served in numerous roles/offices at the church.  Happy 90th Birthday, Mrs. Lizzie!  The post Lizzie Knox Anthony celebrates 90th birthday appeared first on WS Chronicle.
