Local dancer represents SA at competition in Prague

SEBOKENG. – Sandile Mazibuko (23) is a young man with big dreams of conquering the world with his dance talent. Mazibuko represented South Africa at the Dance World Cup Competition held in Prague, Czech Republic from June 27 – July 6. This was after he qualified to represent the country in this competition with a total number of 9 500 dancers from 54 countries competing for gold, silver and bronze medals. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Mazibuko said it was a great experience to participate against the best dancers in the world. He defied all odds and won silver and bronze medals. The dancers were challenged to learn different dance styles and Mazibuko was one of the outstanding dancers who impressed the judges in this category. “This was the best experience, and I look forward to teaching what I learned to high school students so that they too can see the broader global community and the many opportunities that are available to them on top of their academics.
