Spoken word poet Alex Spearman, an Indianapolis native known by the moniker “Lex the Gentleman,” has released his first book entitled “Lost & Found: Poems to Inspire the Fire Within.” & Besides his book, Spearman performs his poetry at many local venues, such as the 2024 Indiana Historical Society’s Martin Luther King Jr. event. & Spearman hopes to provide his audiences with inspiration and encouragement, something he does weekly with his show “Spoke & Heard with Lex the Gentleman” that streams Monday nights at 9 p.m. EST on the platform Tagged. & With his book, Spearman aims to bring the life, faith and uplifting language of his spoken word pieces directly to readers. & The book includes poems about a range of topics and is divided into five sections dedicated to the themes of faith, hope, unity, family and love.
