LSU football player JT Lindsey has surrendered to authorities amid serious allegations of assisting murder suspects by permitting them to stay in his university dorm. This unexpected turn of events goes beyond typical college behavior. Lindsey’s attorney, Kris Perret, confirmed that suspects Shemell Jacobs, 17, and Keldrick Jordan, 18, had indeed resided with Lindsey, yet claimed that he was unaware of their criminal past when they arrived on July 24. Lindsey now faces two felony charges as an accessory after the fact to second-degree murder. Perret stated, "We are collaborating with LSU PD. My client adamantly maintains his innocence." The suspects had been sought by Alexandria, Louisiana, authorities since May in relation to the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Corey Brooks. Reports indicate that law enforcement found several firearms, including two AR-15 rifles, a Draco, and a Glock, in Lindsey's dorm. After being released on $5,000 bail, he is currently suspended from the LSU football team while legal matters unfold.
