This sale marks the second-highest residential transaction in Barrington Hills, lagging behind a $7.5 million sale in 2012.
Constructed in 2008 by businessman Salvatore “Sam” Cecola, the mansion served as the filming location for "Empire," which aired from 2015 to 2020. Encompassing 8.5 acres, the estate boasts six bedrooms, a library, and luxurious outdoor amenities.
According to Crain's Chicago Business, 45 homes over $4 million have sold in 2025, indicating a vibrant luxury market.
