Man Stable After Police Shooting In Soufriere

On Monday March 11, 2024, about 7:15 p.m. officers attached to the Soufriere Police Station arrested a thirty-four-year-old male, in possession of a firearm and ammunition at Fond Benier, Soufriere.
During the course of his arrest, he sustained a gunshot injury. He is currently receiving medical care, and is reported to be in a stable condition.
A Smith and Wesson pistol and one (1) magazine containing one (1) .40 round of ammunition was recovered on his person.
Investigations are ongoing in this matter.
