MARTA Artbound announces call for artists

The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) public art program Artbound, in collaboration with the Atlanta Department of City Planning (DCP), Westside Future Fund, and Living Walls, has extended the deadline on the call for artists and designers for the commission of four separate outdoor installations in the English Avenue neighborhood including intersection crosswalks, two bus shelters and a mural.
The deadline has been extended to Sunday, Feb. 25.&
These artistic projects aim to celebrate the cultural identity of the neighborhood through a fusion of arts and infrastructure enhancements.&
“We’re pleased to invite artists to submit applications for these opportunities within the English Avenue neighborhood. MARTA Artbound remains committed to reflecting and enhancing the communities we serve,” Art in Transit Director Katherine Dirga said.&
