The Hot Girl Summer Tour was initially dampened by a busted water main two miles from State Farm Arena. However, just more than sixty hours after it broke, female rap superstars GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion took to the stage. As the crowd streamed in, many fans wore cowboy hats and tees emblazoned with Megan’s name and photos. Others repurposed their shimmery and silver outfits worn for Beyoncé from 2023’s “Renaissance” Tour. No matter the look, it was a party atmosphere. Even though the concerts were delayed, the fun was not denied. As the title of the tour suggests, a Hot Girl Summer is all about living your best life despite facing adverse circumstances.
GloRilla, nee Gloria Woods, hit the stage carrying a charisma that is usually possessed by a headliner. She immediately apologized for the delays and would give the crowd a very good show.
