The Indiana Senate Democrats released the details for the upcoming memorial services honoring Senator Jean Breaux who served in the Indiana State Senate since 2006. Breaux represented District 34 and advocated for causes including reproductive rights and health care equity as well as reducing food insecurity and gun violence.

April 5 – Breaux’s lying-in-state will take place in the rotunda at the Indiana Statehouse at 200 W. Washington St. The public viewing will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., with the official program taking place from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
April 6 – A Celebration of Life will be hosted at Mount Carmel Baptist Church on 9610 E. 42 St. The viewing will begin at 9 a.m. and the service will begin at 11 a.m.
In place of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
