Mike Epps, Indianapolis-based comedian and “hometown hero,” announced a free concert this weekend.
The concert will take place at 2 p.m. on Sept. 7 at Douglass Park, 1616 E. 25th St., and is focused on highlighting the positive impact of arts on mental health — especially in the Black community. With performances by Stokely, Donell Jones and Full Force, the concert will act as a day of celebration of music, arts and fun for the whole family, according to a press release from GANGGANG.
“Indianapolis, this is for you! Bring your friends and family outside for the ultimate free concert event,” Epps said in a statement. “Food trucks and vendor village onsite. Mental health resources too. Lots of love and healing.”&
