I am one of the many Pennsylvanians who are deeply troubled by the dire situation in Gaza where 2 million people face starvation amidst ongoing civilian strife and attacks on humanitarian aid workers. Billions of U.S. dollars are annually directed to the region as military aid to Israel, including over $10 billion in arms supplied to Benjamin Netanyahu’s government in the last five months alone including $50 million of Pennsylvania tax dollars invested in bonds to fund what I believe to be a genocide.& & The Pennsylvania presidential primary on April 23 presents a crucial opportunity to use the democratic process to advocate for what three quarters of all Democrats and the majority of Americans are calling for lasting ceasefire in Gaza. I am choosing to write-in “Uncommitted” on the presidential ballot line. Our votes in the Democratic Primary are a crucial tool to signal the urgent need for change in the Biden administration’s approach in Gaza. We have a unique opportunity on April 23 to make our voices heard. Opting for the “Uncommitted” write-in vote in the primary gives voters a voice and adds to the impact of the growing nationwide movement calling for peace in Palestine. You, too,...
