Miss Uganda Hannah Karema Reflects on Journey from Nakaseke Village Life to Pageantry Success

In an interview on Urban TV, Karema recounted how her childhood admiration for the Miss Uganda campaign, coupled with her father’s encouragement, fueled her aspirations despite humble beginnings. Karema nostalgically recalled watching TV with her father in their village home and admiring the Miss Uganda campaign, never envisioning herself participating due to her rural upbringing. “I used to watch TV together with my dad and adore that Miss Uganda campaign. Never did I imagine that I would ever be one because I grew up in the village and schooled from the village. But my dad promised to have me school in Kampala and maybe have a chance one day to join,” she shared during the interview.
