MNPS Middle School Teacher Alex Lute Hosts Annual “Lute’s Lights” Giveback Component Allows Community to Support Students in Unstable Housing this Winter

Nashville, TN – Beloved middle school teacher Alex Lute is set to “Flip the Switch” for the & 6th Annual iteration of Lute’s Lights at sundown on Saturday, November 30. This year’s event features more than 900 unique blow molds, 30,000 lights and a walk-thru path of “Christmas Legends.” The monthlong Christmas wonderland serves as a fundraiser and community drop spot for winter coats, school uniform clothing and pantry items for local nonprofit UniCycle, which works alongside the MNPS HERO Program, supporting 4,500 students in unstable housing with services from enrollment and transportation assistance to new school shoes, clothing and basic needs. “Flip the Switch” Details: The well-attended lighting ceremony marks the kickoff to the festive display.
