Morehouse College Welcomes Dr. Cornel West as a Dynamic Commencement Speaker

Morehouse College is set to celebrate Dr. Cornel West, the esteemed philosopher and activist, as the keynote speaker for its 141st Commencement on May 18, 2025, at 9 a.m. West will be awarded an honorary doctorate of humane letters. The festivities also honor the class of 2025 and include alumni recognition. The Baccalaureate Service will occur the preceding day at the Martin Luther King Jr. International Chapel. Furthermore, Ava DuVernay and Dr. David A. Thomas will also be honored with doctorates for their impactful contributions to justice and leadership.
